Scattered Book Club (2013)
A fortnightly radical participatory book club held in the State Library of Victoria’s Experimedia Room, providing a space where anyone can share their critical and radical reading and research in any topic and find new collaboration across conventional topic borders.
Lost Voices & Silenced Voices (2012/13)
‘Lost Voices’ featured a thirty minute sound collage installation exploring the temporality of communication challenging power and control, featuring recorded voice from 20th century Australian activism and politics, exhibited in the Old Council Chambers of the Victorian Trades Hall. ‘Silenced Voices’ reimagined the process for this work to compile an eleven minute sound collage/mashup of the voices of people participating in post-global financial crisis protests from 2008-2013.
Utopic Oasis (2012/13)
Part contemporary art gallery opening and part pop-up live music venue, this evening of contemporary visual, sonic and performance art showcased in a residence in Melbourne’s inner north, comprised self-installed works from seven visual artists, six sound artists, three set-time improvised sound performances and five hours of open improvisation in which participants were encouraged to contribute their own instrumentation. Free Media Collective (2012-13)
A co-ordination of writers, photographers, independent journalists, film makers, internet users, social media experts and others over a two-year period, to be present at community events in Melbourne, Australia to capture images, write articles, livetweet, livestream and other supportive methods of community story-telling and info-sharing.
Eviction Day (2012)
A14 minute documentary of one person’s experience of the eviction of people from a protest encampment in Melbourne’s City Square in October 2011.
Night Flights (2011)
A 10 minute video piece documenting an evening of contemporary sonic and performance art improvisation in the Northcote Uniting Church, Melbourne.
Spectral Collective (2007-12)
A network of DIY musicians sharing advice, skills, resources, services, accommodation, food and general mutual-aid, to independent artists in Australia and New Zealand over the course of five years.
